A community tucked away in the heart of Monmouth, Wales — where stories come to life for adventurers of all ages and experience levels.
How it all began
Monmouth Gaming was born from a simple idea: that everyone deserves the chance to experience the magic of a great D&D session, regardless of whether they've ever rolled a dice before.
From the very beginning our friends at "The Blessed Be Basement", shared our views and believed in the value of bringing people together. Their open hearts, open minds, and genuine love for community gave us the opportunity to grow Monmouth Gaming into what it is today.
The Basement has provided more than just a place to gather, it has given hundreds of people the chance to meet new friends, discover new hobbies, and share unforgettable adventures around the table.
Whether you're celebrating a birthday, planning a hen do, looking for a unique team event, or simply curious about D&D, we've got a session for you. Our Dungeon Masters are experienced, welcoming, and brilliant at reading a room - they'll tailor the adventure to your group every time.

We specialise in welcoming first-timers. Our DMs explain everything - you just show up and have fun.

The fully themed tavern room is packed with atmosphere - mood lighting, props, music, and décor that puts you right in the story.

The venue we use is a joint labour of love. Every corner has been designed to spark your imagination - from the hand-crafted Props and custom settings, to the atmospheric lighting and curated soundscapes. It's the kind of place that makes you forget the outside world exists.
